At The AI Distillery we use approved AI tools in tasks such as:

• Drafting and improving written content, then reviewing it ourselves

• Analysing non-personal, aggregated information to spot useful patterns

A member of our team is always responsible for the work we deliver and for any decision that affects you.

• We stay in charge. We always review and take responsibility for anything AI helps us produce. AI doesn’t make decisions on its own.
• We protect your information. We use the least data needed and keep personal and confidential data out of AI tools.  
• We are transparent about our use of AI. We are happy to talk about how we leverage AI as part of our workflow to improve our performance.
• We use it fairly. We take care that our use of AI does not treat people unfairly or reflect bias, particularly in anything that affects individuals.
• We use it mindfully. We use AI where it genuinely adds value, and we stay mindful of its wider impact, including the energy it uses.

What we will not do

• We will not let AI make final decisions about people without human oversight.
• We will not put your confidential or personal information into AI tools that are not approved for it.
• We will not rely on AI for final legal, financial or other professional advice that needs a qualified expert.
• We will not use AI in ways that are unlawful, misleading or harmful.

Working with our suppliers and partners

We ask the suppliers and partners who work with us to take a similarly responsible approach: to use AI carefully and mindfully, to protect any information we share, and to be open with us about how AI is used in the work they do on our behalf.
